3 THINGS EVERYONE MUST KNOW ABOUT WOMEN WHO HAD C-SECTION

A Cesarean section, also known as a C-section, is a surgical procedure used to deliver a baby.

It is commonly used when vaginal delivery can put the baby or mother at risk, usually in cases of twin pregnancy, obstructed labor, problems with the placenta, umbilical cord or shape of the pelvis or in cases of a previous C-section.

Due to the nature of the procedure, women who give birth are exposed to numerous dangers, which is why they need to be respected. Here are 3 facts about women who had a C-section:

1. They expose themselves to a surgical procedure

Although common, a C-section is still a surgery, meaning that it also brings the dangers of surgery and complication. Besides this, close family members and the father aren’t allowed in the room during the process, which leaves the mother alone, facing her fears about what could go wrong. The feeling of solitude and fear is surely unpleasant, which is why you need to respect these women.

2. They can’t know how the procedure went until they’re awake

Until they’re awake after the procedure, women have no idea what happened during the C-section. The mother doesn’t feel pain during the procedure, but can feel movement in her stomach, which creates an unpleasant experience. However, they endure it just to see their baby, which is the biggest reward a mother can have.

3. They go through the recovery like heroes

Parents devote all their energy and attention to their newborn, which can be tiring and difficult. It involves a lot of planning and logistics which can leave a mother without energy, plus there’s the recovery process after the surgical procedure. The discomfort from the C-section may go on for a while, making matters even worse, but even then, they endure. This gives the mother incredible strength which can’t be compared to anything else. They are doing it all with a smile on their face just to see their baby alive and well.

These 3 facts are clear signs that women who had a C-section must be respected. They should wear their scars with pride as they are a sign of a miraculous thing.
